There are some books you read once… and then there are the ones that quietly become part of your family. The Old Testament Collection: Volume 1 has absolutely become the second for us.
From the very first night we opened “Before the Rain Came,” I could tell this wasn’t just another kids’ book. The storytelling pulls you in gently, and seeing these biblical moments through a child’s perspective made them feel so real and relatable for our daughters. They didn’t just listen—they connected.
The artwork is absolutely beautiful—warm, calming, and almost cinematic. It slows everything down in the best way, which is rare these days. Bedtime has turned into something we genuinely look forward to, not just a routine.
What I love most is how natural it feels. These books don’t force a lesson—they create space for meaningful conversations. Some nights we read a page and end up talking for 20 minutes. Those are moments you can’t really put a price on.
As a parent, you’re always looking for ways to build faith, character, and connection with your kids… and this collection does all three without trying too hard. It’s thoughtful, intentional, and clearly made with a lot of heart.
