Thank you for supporting The Story Lantern. Each book is created with care, and most of our hardcover editions are printed to order. Because of the nature of print-on-demand and digital products, our return policy is outlined below.
Hardcover Books (Print-on-Demand)
Our hardcover books are printed specifically for your order.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled for a full refund within 12 hours of purchase, as long as production has not begun.
Once a book has entered production, it cannot be canceled or returned.
EU Customers — Right of Withdrawal
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. However, please note that this right does not apply to goods that are clearly personalized or made to specification. Because our hardcover books are printed to order specifically for you, they qualify as custom-made goods under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive and are therefore exempt from the standard 14-day withdrawal right. Digital products are also exempt once download or access has begun, in accordance with Article 16(m). Damaged or Defective Items
If your book arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:
• Your order number
• Photos of the damage
• A brief description of the issue
We will gladly replace the item at no additional cost.
Complete Edition Bundles (Hardcover + Digital)
If you purchase a bundle that includes both digital and hardcover editions:
• The digital portion is non-refundable once delivered.
• The hardcover portion may be canceled within 12 hours of purchase, provided production has not started.
Partial refunds may be issued at our discretion depending on timing.
Shipping & Delivery
Hardcover books are printed to order and typically ship within 2–3 business days when rush service is selected. Delivery times vary by location.
International customers are responsible for any import duties, VAT, or customs fees required by their country.
